NFTH - MEDICAL WARD
The medical wards have a bed capacity of over 100 initially with sufficient space for further expansion. There are male and female sections of the whole ward which can be separated into curtain partition-able cubicles and each side has 14 such cubicles. Each section has 6 ceiling fans and excellent ventilation and lighting. Each cubical has a patient table and a bed side cupboard. Each bed panel is fixed with an alarm/bell switch and a 220v plug socket. There are separate toilet facilities for the male and female wards.
The main nursing station is located, in the middle of the ward where the male and the female wards are in both sides. The doctors, nurses and orderlies rest rooms are located in the ward itself. The medical ward has easy access from the main lobby and ETU through elevators and stairways.
There are rooms for the students for teaching and study purposes and all the staff will be motivated and encouraged to help and facilitate the clinical teaching and learning process. All nursing stations doctor rooms have intercom facilities with at least one direct telephone line.
